Slate characteristics, such as
its perfect impermeableness and its remarkable quality, make it a
very suitable product for the above mentioned use. The techniques
for the installation
of plates are suggested by a long experience; the installation is
made on concrete floor or continuos boarding or on lathes. According
to the type of slating and of garret, the plates can be fixed with
mortar, nails or hooks. The superimposition of plates permits to avoid,
for certain, water infiltrations. Main covering types are: triple
slating, triple
slating rounded off, simple
French slating, scale
slating.
They differ in form and installation.
